Chiang Mai National Museum
Chiang Mai National Museum is a must visit for anyone interested in the history of Chiang Mai. The museum houses a collection of Lanna Thai works of art, ancient Buddha images and war weapons. The museum is located next to Wat Jet Yot just north of the city and is open Wednesday to Sunday 9 am – 4 pm.
 

Hill Tribe Museum
The Hill Tribe Museum located in Rama IX Park illustrates the culture and lifestyle of the major hilltribes of northern Thailand. The 3-storey museum exhibits handicrafts, costumes, jewelry, musical instruments, ornaments, household utensils, agricultural tools and statues of the hill people in traditional dress.
